I have been using Slim Shakes to assist in Weight Loss. I have tried a few different ones but my fave is UltraSlim Vanilla. It suppresses your appetite. What does everyone think of them? Which ones have you used? I find the Slim Right Shakes are good too but not as good as the UltraSlim.
Hi. I haven't used the Slim Shakes but I do have the Biggest Loser Club shakes and they are nice. My favourite is the chocolate flavour. It is delicious. I find the shakes convenient in the morning when I don't have time to make breakfast. They seem to do the trick and it beats not eating breakfast which is what I used to do.
I have been on the Tony ferguson program which consists of shakes and bars for brekky and lunch and protien and vegies for dinner
I started on the 4th Jan and to date have lost 18.3 kilos. I was a size 22 in Jan and am now a size 14.
So could highly recommend Tony Ferguson
best of luck on your journey.
I agree with steamer64, I too have been on the TF diet in the past and shed 14kgs. I will add though, once I stopped it and went back to normal eating and also stopped working, I gained most of it back. I have been checking the labels on the supermarket meal replacement shakes Ultraslim, Slimright etc and was shocked to see the first ingredient in some are sucrose (sugar)!!!! How can these assist with weight-loss?? I am sticking to the biggest loser shakes or when I can afford them, the TF shakes.
Perhaps you should forget about the shakes and change your eating plan. The shakes are not meant to be taken long term.
Of course - anything I say is just my opinion.
I tried the Isowhey one and lost quite a lot .......of whatever was in my stomach.....they made me throw up...sorry
Inside every older person....there's a younger person wondering what happened
yep the shakes are great to get the weight off.
But you do have to stick to eating small ammounts evermore after or the weight will come back on.
Tony ferguson has a maintanence plan which I intend to try and stick to when all my weight is gone
The whole point of me taking the replacement meal shakes are to kick-start my weight-loss. In one week on TF a few years ago, I dropped 2.5kgs and that was with NO exercise, so imagine what I can achieve with going to the gym AND having the shakes!!!
tell me you lost 2.5 kilos on your 6th week with the shakes and I might start to be impressed. Losing a lot in week one is great for your motivation but fairly typical of any diet.
I used TBL shakes to kickstart my weight loss. I mostly used them for breakfast but occasionally I had them for lunch or dinner if I couldn't be bothered preparing something. I thought they were great. They were tasty and satisfying. I got bored of them after a while and converted to healthy eating after a few months. That was over 2 years ago and I'm still going strong. I think they can be really helpful when you first start but it is not sustainable to use them all the time. You need to learn how to cook and prepare healthy meals otherwise you will never lose weight and keep it off.
I started TF on the 4th Jan and have lost over a kilo everyweek while on the plan. so Im happy with that but I think now I only need to lose 10 kilos as Ive lost 18 already so it may start to come off slower.
will wait and see as long as Im in the low 70s by next summer I will be very happy
It's great that you've had such good results steamer. I've also had great results with the Biggest Loser shakes and have been losing about 1kg a week but I will slowly start weaning myself off them in the next couple of months and only use them on occasion. They have been fantastic at kick starting my diet and it's put me in the right frame of mind to keep going and stay motivated.
yes I also love them for convenience no thinking reqired ha ha
Hi there! I have tried the shakes, and they work. SHORT TIME. I have now gained all the weight that I lost plus a few extra kilos. Staving yourself through shakes is not the way to go about losing weight. If you are serious about losing weight, strap on your walking shoes, walk for 60 mins and portion control. I have now lost 15kg over 25 weeks, and I still enjoy a glass of wine. Shakes are the lose weight quick, gain it back quicker, but the shake companies reap all your money solution!!
The only thing I have found them handy for is having in my drawer at work - in case I get too busy to have anything healthy and simply to fill me up enough so I don't hit the vending machines. But not a regular thing.
