  • i'm wondering why there's no water sports in biggest loser? is swimming any good for weight loss?  water arobics?

we do have a champion swimmer as a host...

it's sooooo hot and apart from the pool, i can't think of anything to move my legs.

    Bon Appétit! Coffee

  • A man? Devil

Those of you who think you know everything are annoying those of us who do.

  • sooo uncalled for t1!

Of course - anything I say is just my opinion.

  • I wondered that myself!

Do they have a pool? Surely it would be ideal to have a pool for injured contestants at least! Swimming is great for that sort of thing - they could still wear their t-shirts and such its only a pool.

  • swimming and pool exercises are good for toning and I guess for people with injuries - but isn't it pretty low impact? Not much weight losing there I guess?

  • I used water aerobics to build my fitness back up because I have a bad Knee, Its quite a work out  mind you it depends how hard you go at it. It also helps when I am sore after starting body pump. If I was stressed at work it used to make me feel peacful. If you swim laps it helps with getting the heart rate up as well.  It actually helps tone. If its stinking hot and I dont feel like hitting the Gym I am still moving in the water. I have often wondered why with injured contestants that they dont do water work out.

  • Insurance companies didn't want any drownings?

It's MasterChef and I cry if I want to.

  • Chocifan - swimming's actually proven to be one of the most effective exercises in terms of burning KILOJOULES (coz I'm sick to death of hearing calories on the Australian version of TBL). I mean, look at Eamon Sullivan for example - he's a gold-medallist olympic swimmer and he's a stick!! The fact it's non-impact just means you can't expect to build much muscle out of it.

And there was swimming this year. Lydia hated it lol.
